Vote For Your Leeds United ‘Man of the Match' By SMS

Fans are using their mobile’s to vote for their ‘Man of the Match’, thanks to the advanced technology supplied by fellow Yorkshire company Dialogue Communications.

And what’s more, one of the Elland Road faithful who votes for the winning player will set foot on the famous pitch at the next home game to hand over the award in person.

Fans can register their votes towards the end of a match by texting MM followed by the surname of their ‘Man of the Match’ to 85010.

The Yorkshire team has even gone one up on deadly rivals across the Pennines Manchester United, a team who, along with many other Premiership big-shots, have yet to provide this interactive feature to their fans.

“This is a very attractive, ‘hands-on’ way for our supporters to get even more involved with the team. The fans’ response to it so far has been very encouraging, and we’re currently looking at expanding the technology to include the download of Leeds United-specific ring-tones, content, and team-related information,” explains John Hemmingham, Head of Membership Development at Leeds United.
