The 33-year-old South African, signed by Howard Wilkinson nearly ten years ago, will be in his testimonial year at Elland Road next season.

"I would love to be involved here, absolutely, completely, I would love it," he told the club's official website.

"It's like this, since I've started playing football I've played for four teams. I started with an amateur team in Bophutatswana then Bobsol, then ICL Birds and I graduated there, then Kaizer Chiefs and then Leeds.

"It was just one stepping stone every time to move up a level, but if you were to open up my heart you'll see the crests of all those teams and Leeds United is definitely there.

"I am going to do the coaching badge and hopefully with the relationship I have here with some great people at the club, who have made me settled, I will be able to do well. It's my second home and it would be nice to settle here and get a job."
