Independent Manchester United Supporters' Association spokesperson Jules Spencer said: "We are told the reduction allocation has been done on safety grounds. However, the reality is that United supporters are being effectively forced to adopt other means.
"One of those may be to acquire tickets in the 'home' ends. How this is an aid to safety is a complete mystery to me."
