Mirror Sport reveal Ramos will rely on Poyet's language skills and knowledge of the English game but this came after failing with a bid for Emenalo, who played under the former Sevilla coach at Spanish side Lleida.

The Nigerian World Cup star decided to pursue his career at Stamford Bridge instead.

Spanish media had reported on Friday that Ramos had been offered a four-year deal at £4.9m-per-year by the north London club and the Spaniard had gone on to agree the contract, although the La Liga club had issued a statement denying the reports.
