O'Leary Doesn't Like Leeds Loans

The Whites have brought in six foreign players on season-long loans plus Jermaine Pennant from Arsenal on a short-term loan and O'Leary believes that there is too much reliance on temporary signings.

He told the Birmingham Evening Mail: "I wish we didn't have loan players. That's my own personal belief. You should get on with your squad.

"I would hate to see Aston Villa with six or seven loan players.

"Clubs might have to use the system because they have to, but in many ways I think the loans have got out of hand, but who am I to say, if they have financial problems and need to get the best out of the system.

"I don't think it's the right way, but that's only my opinion.

"I'm not trying to bring players in who would only do us for a year. I'm trying to lay foundations."

It's funny that O'Leary wasn't aware of United's financial problems!
