"At the moment I have a contract for the next two years so I will be turning up for pre-season with Leeds United but as we all know the game has changed today, you can be with one club one day and with another the next day," said the Australian midfielder.

"I really don't know what will happen but hopefully things will be sorted out very soon. I would like to be playing again, but it seemed when Peter Reid took over that that was not going to happen. It was very disappointing but as a professional you have to accept those kind of things.

"After playing 24 games straight I thought I was playing quite well but once Peter Reid took over I only played one game under him, his first game, and then didn't see a first team shirt for the rest of the season.

"The whole thing, the sacking of Terry and the fact that I didn't play much football towards the end of the season was very disappointing for me. I certainly don't think Terry Venables deserved to be treated like that."
