Jody Morris was re-arrested after returning to a police station today as a condition of his bail.
It is believed that Jermaine Pennant is also being questioned.
A 26-year-old man has also been re-arrested and is in custody at a police station in the Leeds area in connection with the alleged assault in the early hours of October 7th.
A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire police confirmed: "We have arrested a 20-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old man. They are in police custody.
"They are being questioned in connection with an allegation of a serious sexual assault in the early hours of October 7th."
She added: "The 26-year-old and the 24-year-old have been re-arrested. The 20-year-old has been arrested for the first time."
The former Chelsea player was last month quizzed over a different allegation of serious sexual assault.
