New Strike Force For Whites

Mark de Vries, 32, has signed from Leicester City and Wayne Andrews, 29, from Coventry City, both on one-month loans.

For Andrews, it will mean a return to Boundary Park, where he played six years ago.

Andrews has not started a game for the Sky Blues since joining on a free transfer from Crystal Palace last summer. But his impressive form in the Coventry reserves this season alerted Wise.

The match on Tuesday will also be nostalgic for Oldham boss John Sheridan, who started his playing career at Leeds, going on to play over 200 games in midfield, and becoming a cult-figure at a time when the Whites were struggling in the old Division Two.

The Whites played at Boundary Park 9 times in the 80s and 90s and won only once, Andy Ritchie scoring the only goal of a game in 1986.
