The 26-year-old plays for French Ligue 2 club Chateauroux and was initially at Elland Road in August before returning to his club.
The midfielder was also in the last African Cup of Nations tournament with the same Mali squad as Spurs striker Fredi Kanoute.
United have handed the African player a second chance to make an impression as Kevin Blackwell is still keen to add to his squad.
