Leeds Issue Cardiff Tickets Warning

Last updated : 10 September 2004 By Kevin Markey
As a result of previous disturbances between the sides in the Welsh capital, South Wales Police have insisted that a number of measures are implemented to help minimise the risk of crowd trouble.

The four key measures are:

1. The fixture is all ticket and supporters will not be able to buy tickets on the day.

2. Leeds United are restricted to selling tickets to season ticket holders / Forever Leeds members only.

3. Supporters are restricted to travelling to the game on organised coaches only.

4. A voucher/ticket system will be implemented.

Any Leeds United supporter wanting to travel to this game must comply with these regulations.

"We appreciate that these requirements are a substantial change to the manner in which our supporters normally attend away games, but the matter is really outside the club's control," said Shaun Harvey, chief operating officer at Leeds United.

"We respectfully request everyone's co-operation, enabling our supporters to travel safely and enjoy what promises to be an exciting game."

Anyone wishing to apply for a ticket should contact Leeds United Ticket Services on 0845 121 1992.
