Grayson Frustrated With Leeds Lapses

Jason Shackell put the Tykes in front before the hosts started to assert their authority and took a half-time lead thanks to Luciano Becchio's header and a controversial Max Gradel penalty.

Matt Hill equalised for Barnsley before Bradley Johnson was dismissed for two bookable offences.

Gradel, however, restored Leeds' advantage with a wonderful finish from the edge of the area before Kieran Trippier ensured both sides settled for a point.
Grayson said: "We started the game poorly but showed a lot of spirit and character to get the equaliser and the penalty, but you knew you were always going to be in a tough game because Barnsley work hard, they close you down, they set a tempo and they've got one or two players who can cause you problems.

"We said at half-time that we have to do the simple things and move the ball a little bit quicker and don't give them an opportunity to get tight to you and that was our undoing really. We've just made individual mistakes.

"When you've conceded three goals, people think the back four have been poor again but it's other areas of the pitch that people have got to concentrate on because there's a fine line between winning games and losing games. But we have to eradicate certain elements of our game if we're going to do anything this year."
