Leeds had to play defenders Gayle Formston and Kelly Beven in goal at different times as Leanne Hall is still struggling with a knee injury, Claire Wallhead was still not completely fit after a knee injury, and Clare Farrow was unavailable due to work commitments.

Leeds conceded two goals in the first ten minutes, but then went on to play some very attractive attacking football and always looked in control of the game.

Two goals each came from Lucy Ward and Sue Smith with Kelly Bevan, Stacey Daniel and Julie Richardson getting the others.

Leeds went on to make a total of made ten substitutions in the game.

Manager Julie Chipchase told the official Leeds website: " I was pleased with the girls, it was a good work out. I don’t read too much into pre-season results, its more about match fitness and working on new things, although we could have scored a lot more goals if their keeper hadn't made numerous good saves."
