D'Amico At It Again

Like a pimp looking for the best deal for their client, Andrea D’Amico told BBC Sport that "I can say Chelsea is one of the clubs we are in contact with, but for now the most important thing is to close a deal before we talk about it."

Chelsea will have to fight it out with Lyon for the Leeds player’s signature after the French club expressed interest in signing Viduka. Spanish side Real Betis have also expressed and interest in Viduka.

The Betis coach said "I'm sure he (Viduka) will come to Seville if we can arrange the financial terms of the deal."

Viduka pulled out of a tournament in Dublin sparking huge media speculation about his future at Elland Road.

It has been reported that Viduka wants to leave Leeds but is reluctant to hand in a transfer request because it would cost him £1m due to a loyalty clause in his contract.

If the club sold him without Viduka requesting a move then the player would receive a tidy £1m payment from the cash strapped Yorkshire club.
