Venables said: "Olivier says he didn't say that, and it was the English press that have exaggerated and taken it out of context.
"Well, I've seen the transcripts and if that's the case then he should be thinking about suing the English newspapers.
"It's between us and it has been dealt with. I have taken action internally and far as I am concerned the matter is closed."
