The 23-year-old left-back has been out since the October and is suffering from Osteitis Pubis, which now requires surgery.
"Unfortunately it looks as though he might require an operation, in which case we have lost him for the rest of the season," said Kevin Blackwell.
"We had to wait six weeks to see what would happen, we're in the fifth and to be honest it's not looking good."
