Batty keen to show he's fit

The United midfielder played in the reserves side against Liverpool last Tuesday in a bid to show the new manager he is match fit but lasted only 15 minutes as he suffered a dead leg.

Reid has told Batty that he will be considered for first team duties if he can prove his fitness and he was included in the caretaker managers first game in charge for the Premiership game at Liverpool as an unused sibstitute.
