10-Point Deduction Now Applies

The Football League closed a loophole in their regulations after a an emergency general meeting of Football League's chairmen in Walsall.

The rules have been changed so that all clubs that go into administration, whether currently in the Nationwide League or relegated from the Premiership, will face the same rules.

The decision was passed automatically by the chairmen and the 10-point deduction is automatic following administration but there is a right of appeal.

Any Premier League club which is not relegated and goes into administration will not face a 10-point deduction until the decision is ratified at the Premier League chairmen's annual summer meeting.
