Leeds complete £34m Muharemovic deal

The transfer for the 23-year-old is worth up to £34m (€40m), which makes it the second biggest in Leeds' history behind Georginio Rutter's £35.5m signing from Hoffenheim in January 2023.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina defender, who stands at 6ft4in tall, has signed a five- year contract with Leeds.

Muharemovic becomes Leeds' second signing of the summer after Harry Wilson joined on a free transfer following his Fulham departure earlier this month.

Talks are ongoing over signing free-agent midfielder Julian Brandt, whose father and representative, Jürgen, was at Thorp Arch this week.

Leeds are understood to be facing plenty of competition for his signature. Roma and Juventus explored a deal but Sky in Italy report that the Premier League is currently Brandt's most likely destination.
