Mateo Joseph has secured a loan move to Mallorca after requesting to leave Leeds earlier this summer.
Daniel Farke said last month that the 21-year-old wanted to leave Elland Road although the striker still has three years to run on his current deal.
The club believe there is little sense in agreeing a purchase option at this stage, given Joseph's value could increase with an impressive loan spell in Spain.
Joseph has made 73 first-team appearances for Leeds.
