The hosts led 2-0 with 12 minutes to go, but striker Mike Grella converted crosses by Andy Robinson (78) and skipper Jason Crowe two minutes later, to put Leeds in front, before Aidy White headed home another Robinson cross for the winner on 85. United had substitute James Booker dismissed for a second bookable offence late on.
