Two second half goals from Mateusz Klich saw Leeds come from behind to beat Rotherham United at the New York Stadium.

Leeds had the first chance of the game inside three minutes, Jack Harrison put a good cross into the box and Kemar Roofe glanced it on, but nobody could get on the end of it.

After a long period without any chances for either team, Rotherham took the lead in the 28th minute.  Semi Ajayi found the top corner with a fine strike from 20 yards.

The goal sparked Leeds into life, Luke Ayling put a decent cross into the box, but Jack Clarke couldn’t direct his header on target.

The Whites then had a chance from a corner, Pablo Hernandez delivered and Ayling got a glance on it with his head, but couldn’t direct an effort on target.

Ezgjan Alioski struck wide from range, before Harrison had Leeds’ best chance of the half.  He broke into the Rotherham box, before firing at goal, forcing Marek Rodak into a really good save as Rotherham went in at the break in front.

Half time: Rotherham United 1-0 Leeds United

Leeds made one change at the break, with Tyler Roberts replacing Clarke and six minutes later the Whites drew level, Hernandez put the ball into the Rotherham box, the home side failed to clear and Mateusz Klich was on hand to poke home from close range.

The Whites then won a corner and Kalvin Phillips saw a header well saved by Millers stopper Marek Rodak.

Hernandez hit the wall with a free-kick, before Harrison teed up Klich to strike from 20 yards, but his effort was too high.

Casilla was then called into action, he made a fine save to deny Will Vaulks, with his effort heading for the top corner.

The hosts then went close from a corner, Clark Robertson again forcing Casilla into action with a header at goal.

Harrison put a dangerous low cross into the box which headed towards goal in the 66th minute forcing Rodak to tip his effort around the post and from the resulting corner, Alioski was denied with a good block.

Leeds pressed for a second goal and almost found it when Hernandez provided a delightful through ball for Kemar Roofe, but he couldn’t time his header right and his attempt went over.

Harrison then played Alioski into the box, who had more time when he thought, but he took a snap shot at goal, which went wide.

With four minutes of normal time Leeds got the winner. Harrison drove forwards and found Klich in the box, he showed good footwork before finding the bottom left corner with a superb curling finish to send the travelling Leeds support wild.

The Whites then saw out over six minutes of added time, to secure a vital three points, which moved Leeds further ahead at the top of the table.
