Rangers 1 - Leeds 1

Alan Smith silenced the home crowd in the 17th minute with a well-judged near-post header after good work from Ian Harte.

Robbie Keane should have made it 2-0 on 33 minutes when Smith played him in, but he knocked the ball wide.

Smith had the ball in the net again on the stroke of half-time, but his effort was ruled offside.

Rangers substitute Shota Arveladze converted a penalty a few minutes into the second half after he had been fouled in the box by Leeds skipper Dominic Matteo.

Both sides came close to winning the game after this, Harte sent a fiercely struck free kick just over for Leeds and Flo came close at the other end with a shot from the edge of the box that went just wide.
