Rob Green Burton had plenty of the contest but Green did not often find himself at full-stretch. Until the last 10 minutes, both keepers were fairly quiet. 6/10

Luke Ayling Saturday was a hard afternoon defensively but the right-back offered so much going forward. He’s a big asset. 8/10

Kyle Bartley Leeds were less convincing at the back and it was to their benefit that Burton didn’t have the players they needed to take advantage. But the late resistance was tremendous. 7/10

Pontus Jansson Some excellent defending mixed in with a few moments when he looked more suspect than usual. Still a crucial presence though. 7/10

Charlie Taylor Didn’t find it easy to get over halfway but Leeds were more solid on his side of the field than they were on the right. 6/10

Eunan O’Kane Guilty on occasions of trying to pick out overly ambitious passes but credit to him for his workrate. Did a massive amount of covering. 7/10

Kalvin Phillips Saturday was a battle from the off and it took until the latter stages of the second half for Leeds to get a proper grip of the midfield. 6/10

Hadi Sacko Fair play to him for running and running but nothing he tried worked and his decision making let him down. 5/10

Pablo Hernandez A clash in which number 10s were always likely to find the going tough but his pass in the build-up to the penalty was a cracker. 7/10

Kemar Roofe Should have scored and again, there was enough in his performance to offer encouragement, but periods of the match became a slog. 6/10

Chris Wood Mr Reliable, and when he stepped up for the penalty you knew he’d stick it away emphatically. His pass for the second goal was sublime too. 8/10

Substitutes: Souleymane Doukara (for Roofe, 74) - A fantastic decision to send him on. Won the penalty before somehow forcing the second goal in. 8/10

Ronaldo Vieira (for Hernandez, 89) - One risky challenge on the edge of the box might have cost Leeds but it was chaos by then. 5/10

Alex Mowatt (for Sacko, 95) - Literally on for a few seconds, but long enough to make a vital late block in the box. 6/10

Subs (not used): Marco Silvestri, Liam Cooper, Gaetano Berardi, Marcus Antonsson.

Referee:Jeremy Simpson (Lancashire) - Came close to losing control at times but got the penalty call spot on. 5/10

Attendance: 24,220

Burton Albion:Jon McLaughlin - 6 Kyle McFadzean - 7 Ben Turner - 5 John Brayford - 7 Lloyd Dyer - 6 Matt Palmer - 7 Jackson Irvine - 6 Jamie Ward - 5 Chris O’Grady - 7 Lee Williamson - 6 Lucas Akins - 6 Substitutes:Stuart Beavon (for Ward, h/t) - 7 Tom Naylor (for Williamson, 76) - 5
