YEP Player Ratings

Last updated : 25 April 2016 By Phil Hay

Marco Silvestri: Exposed for both goals and could not have stopped either of them. In general, a very tidy and efficient shift from the Italian. 6/10

Gaetano Berardi: Leeds had far more trouble with Snodgrass than they did with Maloney and credit to Berardi for that. But Coyle was a positive introduction. 7/10

Sol Bamba: A little lucky not to draw a second yellow card and was not at his best but Leeds’ midfield put him and others under huge pressure. 6/10

Liam Cooper: Arguably the most improved of the players who were here last season. A gruelling shift but Cooper got through it with gritted teeth. 7/10

Charlie Taylor: No-one has worked him as hard as Snodgrass this season and United’s former winger won much of that battle but Taylor set up Leeds’ first goal and earned their penalty. 8/10

Lewis Cook: Not as able to tear into Hull as he had Wolves, largely because Hull are a much better side. But kept chipping away and was involved in the equaliser. 7/10

Liam Bridcutt: Hit and miss and Evans might wish with hindsight that he had stuck with Murphy. Bridcutt was second best in comparison to Huddlestone and co. 6/10

Toumani Diagouraga: The make-up of United’s starting midfield didn’t feel right and Diagouraga saw very little of the ball in areas where he could do damage. 5/10

Stuart Dallas: Wasn’t hugely prominent until he took his chance with a brilliant finish. Leeds needed to be clinical in those moments and Dallas was. 7/10

Lee Erwin: Struggled in the first half against Wolves and was never in his comfort zone at the KC Stadium. Didn’t track back as he needed to. 4/10

Chris Wood: Missed the penalty, although McGregor will take some praise for a very good save. But pleasing to see him weigh in with another goal. 7/10

Substitutes:

Jordan Botaka (for Erwin, 46) - Could not have done much more to stake his claim for a start. His work for the equaliser was superb. 7/10

Luke Murphy (for Diagouraga, 57) - Hull maintained their dominance in the second half but Murphy brought more order to the middle of the pitch. 6/10

Lewie Coyle (for Berardi, 75) - Took risks going forward, which was exactly what Evans was calling for. His influence was a key factor. 7/10

Subs (not used): Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Scott Wootton, Kalvin Phillips, Mirco Antenucci.

Referee: Iain Williamson (Berkshire) - could easily have given both sides a red card. But he wasn’t really the focus of attention afterwards. 7/10

Attendance: 20,732

Hull City: Alan McGregor – 6, Moses Odubajo – 6, Harry Maguire – 5, Curtis Davies – 6, Andrew Robertson – 6, Tom Huddlestone – 7, Jake Livermore – 5, Shaun Maloney – 6, Robert Snodgrass – 8, Chuba Akpom – 7, Abel Hernandez - 6

Substitutes: Mo Diame (for Hernandez, 67) – 5, Sam Clucas (for Maloney, 81) – 5, Adama Diomande (for Akpom, 90) - 5
