Marco Silvestri: A big player at the moment. His saves were the difference between a tight, valuable win and a hugely frustrating draw. 8/10

Scott Wootton: Steady but the game was another example of why United need an actual right-back in there. The team didn’t carry enough threat on that side of the field. 6/10

Giuseppe Bellusci: He and Leeds’ defence were indebted to Silvestri for his performance, both early in the game and at the death. 5/10

Liam Cooper: Would have looked for the midfield in front of him to provide more protection against 10 men but was relatively solid. 6/10

Charlie Taylor: His performance level never seems to drop and he and Dallas are developing a good understanding on the left hand side. 7/10

Liam Bridcutt: The midfield weren’t able to completely shut up shop in the second half but Bridcutt’s workrate did him credit. 6/10

Sam Byram: Tried his best to get himself into the box and into attacking areas but exerted far less influence than he had at Wolves. 6/10

Lewis Cook: Up and down at the moment. Wasn’t poor but wasn’t able to control the midfield either. 6/10

Luke Murphy: It’s a while since Murphy last started and it’s a while since he last put his stamp on a match. 5/10

Stuart Dallas: Good going forward and forced the own goal but his defensive work was no less important. 7/10

Chris Wood: Didn’t take the chances which dropped to him and looked short of energy in the second half. 5/10

Substitutes: Souleymane Doukara (for Murphy, 64) - Slightly unlucky not to start and despite being very isolated, caused Preston a bit of trouble. 6/10

Mirco Antenucci (for Wood, 83) - With Leeds backpedaling he had no opportunities to put the game to bed. 5/10

Kalvin Phillips (for Dallas, 90) - Joined the fray with literally 60 seconds to play. 5/10

Subs (not used): Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Lewie Coyle, Sol Bamba, Alex Mowatt.

Preston North End: Jordan Pickford - 4, Greg Cunningham - 6, Tom Clarke - 7, Paul Huntington - 7, Marnick Vermijl - 6, John Welsh - 4, Paul Gallagher - 6, Alan Browne - 4, Adam Reach - 6, Will Keane - 5, Joe Garner - 7

Substitutes: Matt Hudson (for John Welsh, 34) - 6, Neil Kilkenny (for Browne, 55) - 7, Eoin Doyle (for Keane, 87) - 5

Referee: Gavin Ward (Surrey) - Took advice from his linesman about the dismissal but in real time Pickford’s offence looked worthy of a red card. 7/10

Attendance: 22,641
