YEP Player Ratings

Last updated : 14 December 2015 By Phil Hay

Marco Silvestri: No doubt at all that Leeds deserved to win but Silvestri came up with some big saves and none better than his block from Vaz Te. 8/10

Scott Wootton: Not the first time he’s picked up an early booking in a game and Evans was right to replace him a few minutes into the second half. 6/10

Giuseppe Bellusci: Hardly a perfect performance and Charlton had their opportunities but in general he was solid enough and so was the defence. 6/10

Liam Cooper: Another typically good display and United bullied Charlton to the point where they stopped pushing for a winner late on. 7/10

Charlie Taylor: Trademark Taylor; reliable defensively and always overlapping in attack, though his crossing could have been more telling. 7/10

Liam Bridcutt: It took until the second half for United to properly boss the contest but Bridcutt helped to make sure that they did. 7/10

Stuart Dallas: Looked like a top Championship winger in periods after half-time and posed a huge threat on the right during Leeds’ best spells. 8/10

Lewis Cook: The sort of scenario he loves, up against a tiring side who began to back off. So unlucky to see his goalbound shot hit Wood. 8/10

Tom Adeyemi: Adeyemi’s golden chance was one he had to score and his costly miss was a black mark on another powerful display. 7/10

Alex Mowatt: A little disappointing if truth be told and Evans eventually allowed Botaka to have a go. The jury is out on Mowatt as a wide midfielder. 6/10

Chris Wood: After an uneventful first half, his link-up play got better as the game progressed. The clearer chances fell to others though. 6/10

Substitutes: Gaetano Berardi (for Wootton, 49) - Influential in increasing United’s momentum but was injured in the closing minutes. 7/10

Jordan Botaka (for Mowatt, 64) - Must be desperate to make his presence felt but although he got into good positions, that didn’t translate into good service. 6/10

Sam Byram (for Berardi, 90) - Wasn’t on the pitch for long enough to make a difference. 5/10

Subs (not used): Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Mirco Antenucci, Souleymane Doukara, Luke Murphy.

Charlton Athletic:

Stephen Henderson - 6 Alou Diarra - 6 Chris Solly - 6 Harry Lennon - 6 Tareiq Holmes-Dennis - 7 Jordan Cousins - 7 Johnnie Jackson - 6 Johann Berg Gudmundsson - 7 Reza Ghoochannejhad - 6 Ademola Lookman - 6 Ricardo Vaz Te - 6

Substitutes: Simon Makienok (for Jackson, 81) - 5 El-Hadji Ba (for Reza, 81) - 5 Karlan Ahearne-Grant (for Vaz Te, 88) - 5

Referee: Andy Davies (Hampshire) - A bit keen with his yellow card but in saying that, you’ve seen worse referees than him. 6/10

Attendance: 15,867
