The Scots-born midfielder was included in the squad for tonight's reserve game against Middlesbrough but will now start his trial with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen. Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood said of the 19-year-old: "He’s captained Scotland at youth level and has been on the bench a few times this season at Leeds and if he impresses then he could go straight into our team."

Meanwhile, Leeds striker Simon Johnson will stay on loan at Doncaster Rovers for a second month. Johnson has scored twice in seven appearances since moving to Belle Vue and Doncaster boss Dave Penney was keen to keep the 21-year-old. Johnson ended his first month's stay with Rovers on Monday.
