The LMA's five-man Performance of the Week panel (consisting of Sir Alex Ferguson, Howard Wilkinson, George Burley, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry) were in agreement that following their victory against QPR, Leeds United should be awarded the weekly honour – with particular mention to Brian Deane for his 4 goal haul in the game.
