The Norway international joined up with his old boss David O'Leary at Villa Park on a 3-month loan deal from Leeds but is due to return to Elland Road in January.
Bakke appears to be keen to stay on with the Premiership outfit until at least the end of the season and, according to the Sunday Mirror, hopes to make it a permanent arrangement.
