Whites Fine

Players from both sides were involved in angry exchanges early in the second half following Clarets midfielder Chris McCann's high tackle on Leeds winger Max Gradel.

Referee Phil Crossley, who moved swiftly and effectively to diffuse the situation, booked Leeds pair Eric Lichaj and Neil Kilkenny, while McCann was also shown a yellow card.

Burnley admitted the similar charge of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative and/or violent behaviour and were fined £5,000, less than the one issued to Leeds because the Yorkshire club had recently been found guilty of a separate improper conduct charge following their clash at Nottingham Forest in August.
