The 20-year-old wideman, who has scored seven goals this season, signed a new contract with the Conference side last week. The new deal ties up Boyd, who joined Stevenage as a 16-year-old from Charlton, at Broadhall Way until 2008.
Boyd, who is regarded as the hottest property in non-league, has been looked at by a number of Football League clubs this season and is rumoured to have already have been the subject of a six-figure offer which the club turned down.
Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace said: "There will be a time for George to move on, but we are keen to keep him to help us secure promotion. When he eventually does move, I would not be at all surprised if it were directly into the Championship or even the Premiership.''
