The Whites have confirmed the Republic of Ireland as their destination for this summer's pre-season tour.

The club have lined up three fixtures in Eire as part of their preparations for the start of the 2008-09 campaign.

Leeds will begin the eight-day tour against Galway United on July 16 before playing Bray Wanderers in Dublin four days later.

Their Irish schedule will then conclude with a clash against Shelbourne at Tolka Park on July 24.

The announcement of three games in the Republic has taken the number of confirmed pre-season friendlies to five.

Leeds have committed themselves to a game against York City at KitKat Crescent on July 11 and they will face Barnet in a friendly at Underhill, just two days after returning from Eire, on July 26.

The clash with Barnet was negotiated as part of the deal which brought United striker Tresor Kandol to Elland Road last season.
