What Is It With Healy?

Probably the best natural striker in the Championship, David Healy started the season with 2 goals at home to Millwall, set up Robbie Blake for the consolation goal at Cardiff and scored for his country against Malta in mid-week.

He was left out of the starting eleven against Luton, Michael Ricketts taking his place to no affect and Rob Hulse came in for the game against Wolves, although he only started back in training last week and was not 100% fit.

I think we need to know what’s going on. We’ve even been linked with another striker today.

Healy would walk into any other Championship team and even some Premiership teams.

Like his Northern Ireland international manager, Lawrie Sanchez, said on BBC Radio Leeds last Friday, 'Leeds must have a hell of a lot of good strikers if we can afford to keep Healy on the subs bench.'

Kevin Blackwell says he has his reasons for team selections. Let’s hope it’s not for the sake of selling our best player before the transfer window.
