Walton Would Not Sign New Contract - Chairman

Speaking in the Sunday Mirror Bates said: "Walton said he wasn't going to sign a new contract. If you don't want to play for Leeds you go.

"(Rob) Hulse is not going to be available to our competitors. He's gone to a Premiership club. We've made a million by selling him to Sheffield United, with add-ons, if he scores enough goals it could be £3m."
