Waiting Game For Leeds

Sky Sports News report that players hoped to have been paid on the same day as their Championship game against Charlton at Elland Road tonight.

Leeds' players have received 50% of last month's wages after an agreement was reached last week.

Cellino's appeal hearing, believed to have been before Tim Kerr QC, took place at a law firm in central London on Monday.

Football League chief executive Shaun Harvey was present at the hearing with other league officials.

Harvey, a former Leeds United chief executive, did not vote in the original decision to block Cellino's takeover after the Italian's recent conviction in Italy for tax evasion.

It is understood that Mr Kerr QC did not give the Football League, and other parties, a date when he would publish his decision.

But one source confirmed to Sky Sports News that they do not expect the judgement until at least Thursday this week.

If Cellino loses his appeal he could take his case to a High Court judge.
