vs Liverpool: Reaction

David O'Leary: "My concern is we might not make the Champions League. We are certainly making life hard for ourselves, although there's still lots of games left to play. But we are losing too many people through injury and suspension, and you can't afford to have key players out when you play these big games.

"This was an exceptional result. But we gifted them three goals from three set plays, and you can't afford to do that against a good side like Liverpool. One of them was offside. That's taking nothing away from them, although we did make life easy for them with our poor defending."

Olivier Dacourt: "I think now it is finished. We are far from the leaders and it will be difficult to reach them. Now I think the target is to take one place in the Champions League and we have to fight to have that."

Phil Thompson: "I think it was our best performance this season. From back to front, everyone played their part. Our attackers wanted it, our midfielders were fantastic, challenging for everything, our defenders did their bit and Jerzy Dudek made the saves when he had to.

"Gerard will be back in the hotseat at the end of this month and that's all I've ever intended to do - keep it warm for him and win as many games as we can. But also to do things right by him. This is justification for him and the rest of the team. We've been threatening to win a game like this and it just happened to be at Leeds today. The last time we played Leeds it was important because Gerard had his heart problems, so this was for him today."
