Reid blew off when Viduka challenged his authority in front of the other players on the training field yesterday.
He had been told he could not have fresh strappings for his ankles, but then blatently ignored Reid and walked off the pitch, making sarcastic comments.
He was dropped on the spot and drove off from the club's Thorp Arch complex.
He had already snubbed his team-mates yesterday when they flew down for this afternoon’s Premiership match at Portsmouth. He had intended to make his own way to the South Coast.
Viduka's agent, Andrea D'Amico, played down the row. He commented: "For the moment I've nothing to say. I have to talk to Mark first."
Viduka now looks to have sealed his Leeds fate as Reid is unlikely to stand for his sulking behaviour any longer.
