Viduka is sidelined with hamstring and back problems and Socceroos coach Frank Farina has confirmed that the Leeds striker will not be available for their opening game against New Zealand later this month.
"I spoke to Mark last night and we now have the full information regarding his injury," Farina said. "He has been playing with discomfort and needs some time off to recover. I'm still expecting him to come into camp and be involved with the team in some capacity.
"He's very keen to say hello to the boys and at the same time our medical staff can assist with his recovery."
