Viduka And Kewell In Aussie Squad

Viduka and former Leeds team-mate Harry Kewell, now with Liverpool, have been cleared by their clubs to play in the match and met up with the rest of Frank Farina's squad at the team hotel today.

A spokesman for Soccer Australia said: "We have received confirmation of release from both clubs. They will join up with the squad and then be subject to normal team selection procedures."

The presence of the former Elland Road team-mates is a boost for Farina, who is without Blackburn's Brett Emerton and Birmingham's Stan Lazaridis through injury.

Farina told www.socceraustralia.com.au: "Liverpool have had a difficult start, but Harry's form last weekend, scoring a goal and setting up the other two, was a good sign. He certainly doesn't lack confidence and he is such a wonderful player when on song.

"Mark is in a rich vein of form, scoring for us against the Republic of Ireland and then the winner last weekend, so it augurs well for us for Sunday's game."
