Update On Trialists

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes of Leeds' 4-2 friendly win at Darlington on Tuesday night.

Boss Kevin Blackwell was encouraged by his United debut but warned: "If he can get fitter, there is a chance for him. He's got class and vision. Some of his diagonal passes were a joy to behold. He ran out of gas at the end but wanted to stay on.

"He asked for 90 minutes and that can only help him. I'm aware that the higher you go, the quicker the game is and sometimes it's hard to do that in the First Division, you have to be fit to do that. He was trying to get in there and do well. We're creating an enthusiasm to work hard."

Leeds also gave trials to French duo Mama Traore and Dominic Gourville as second half subs at Darlington but only Gourville has been kept on for now.

Polish trialist Tomas Rsaza has also been released despite his superb goal in the 4-2 win on Tuesday.
