"They tried everything they could but they just couldn't give samples," said Wanderers Communication manager Danny Reuben. "The lads were fantastic. They were patient and never moaned.
"They just sat in the home dressing room watching the rugby league Test between Great Britain and Australia and chatted about about all sorts of things just to take their minds off it."
There were five members of the UK Sport drug testing unit with the two players whose names were drawn out of a hat. They said players usually take at the most two hours to provide a sample. It took until 9pm to get them!
Bolton took the proverbial out of Leeds on Saturday, so at least it took a while for UK Sport to take theirs!
