Forest said any fan who caused trouble would be evicted. The club safety officer Alan Bexon said the text number had been set up so fans do not feel intimidated.
"We thought of the idea after a lady told us that she was afraid to contact stewards about a problem in the stands," Mr Bexon said.
Fans are asked to text the word 'Forest' and 60066 to alert of any trouble. Hundreds of fans ran onto the County Ground pitch at the end of a match between Notts County and Forest at Meadow Lane in July.
There were fights inside the ground and violence erupted on the streets later.
