Lucas Radebe or Michael Duberry, out since pre-season with a fractured cheekbone, could partner Zoumana Camara at the centre with Dominic Matteo continuing at left-back.
Reid said in the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It's a big game for us tomorrow. We've had a bad run and it's important that we show commitment and desire. I'm looking for the tough characters in the squad to stand up and I'm looking at who I think will do the job for us."
These characters could include, after three dismal league results, David Batty, Michael Bridges, Aaron Lennon and even James Milner, back at Leeds after a successful month-long loan at Swindon Town where he scored 2 goals.
