Star Striker Set To Leave

Hulse has been the subject of constant transfer talk for some time with both the Blades and Norwich City showing interest.

The striker has not featured in any pre-season fixtures since the squad came back from Norway last week and it seemed only a matter of time before Leeds buckled from a serious offer.

Hulse scored 14 goals last season but has suffered with injuries and one wonders whether United have done the right thing in accepting the Blades offer or whether it's a good piece of business.

But as Leeds are making an initial 100% profit, Hulse cost them £1.1m when he signed from West Brom in May 2005, after a successful loan spell, the board would probably think so.

The Sheffield United website, www.sufc.co.uk, announced that Hulse would sign a three-year contract.

Warnock said: "It has been a lengthy chase and I am delighted that it has ultimately been successful.

"I feel Rob still has a lot to prove but he has strengths which I am sure will compliment those of the strikers we already have."
