Smith Employs Bodyguard

Smith employed Kevin Fellowes, a former head of security at Elland Road, after an £800k house near Rothwell was attacked by vandals.

It is believed the vandals thought the property belonged to Smith rather than the actual owner, Andy Eaton.

The father-of-two has also been subjected to abuse from passing motorists. "No matter how upset people are about Smith’s transfer he doesn’t deserve this and I certainly don’t,” he said in The Times. “I want to nip this in the bud. I’m worried about my family."

Smith has stated his desire to continue living in Leeds, though this could cause more problems.

Ray Fell, chairman of the Leeds United Supporters’ Club, said: "We are all disappointed Alan has gone but this sort of behaviour is doing no one any good."
