Shepherd Loses Leeds Interest

The former Newcastle United chairman had expressed interest in investing in Leeds with a view to one day taking over from Ken Bates.

The two were understood to have talked about a possible deal over dinner in the autumn.

But millionaire Shepherd is now reported to have made a £40m bid for Spanish Primera Liga club Real Deportiva Mallorca.
