It has been heavily speculated that Sharp is wanted by Sheffield United with Nigel Adkins, his old boss at Scunthorpe, Southampton & Reading, now being in charge of the club.
Sharp is a Blades fanatic and has had two spells at the club already. However, if he is to join for a third stint it is being reported the South Yorkshire club may have to give up one of its own star men.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported that should Adkins want Sharp, Leeds will want Scotland Under-21 winger Jamie Murphy as part of any package.
