Selling Walton Was Pure Folly - Fan

Kevin Blackwell is equally going to be remembered as the man who gifted Aaron Lennon to Tottenham Hotspur.

He has now disposed of another promising player, Simon Walton, on the premise that he is obligated to do so because he has been approached by a Premiership club, Charlton Athletic.

The fact that Charlton last season looked relegation fodder and may well be again next season, in spite of having a new manager, apparently has no bearing with Mr Blackwell.

I wonder what the great Don Revie would have done. I have a feeling he would have sat down with both players and by the time he had finished they would have been convinced that Leeds United were going places and would be desperate to be part of that success.

The transfer we should arrange is Mr Blackwell's, asap.
