Sakho Returns To France

The on-loan Senegal international winger damaged his left knee while playing for the reserves against Liverpool last week and will have treatment to repair a ruptured cruciate ligament in France with a view of being fit for Marseille for the start of the next campaign.

Sakho started Leeds' first six matches and became a bit of a cult figure with the fans. He went to the African Nations Cup with Senegal and made a substitute appearance, at Manchester United, when he returned.

However, he has not played for the first team since and his injury at Wakefield last week ended his shortlived Leeds career.
