Royle Bid For Moore Turned Down

Town approached Leeds with a view to taking the 29-year-old striker on-loan for the season.

On the official Ipswich website, Royle said: “We did speak to Leeds about Ian Moore. We were looking to bring him here on loan for the season but they turned us down.”

Moore only joined Leeds from Burnley towards the end of last season but has been out through injury and now has competition for a first-team place at Elland Road.

However, loan deals are still allowed outside the transfer window for Football League clubs and Royle may still be keen to take the experienced striker to Portman Road.
